September – what’s in season?

 

Autumn is on the way and the morning and evenings are getting a little colder.  Now is the time to think of slowly braised casseroles and stews! Try pork with cider and mushrooms.

Blackberries are around now, perfect for a blackberry and apple tart, served with Glenilen Farm double cream.

Mussels are at their best right now, delicious steamed with garlic, chilli and white wine.
